The process of growth takes time. The path to growing into who you are truly called to be can be long and at times may discourage you. You want to know where the final destination is and how long it will take to get there. You want a GPS to tell you not only the path but the time it will take you to reach your destination. The long journey is more tolerable when you have an idea of when you will reach the end.

Your journey of growing into your destiny does not have a specific route or timetable. There is no GPS that can tell you when you will reach that final destination but you do know the general direction to go in.

The most important thing is that you take the first step. Your goal after that first step is to keep stepping and following the path in front of you. Instead of focusing on the end destination, you have to embrace the journey itself and the lessons you will learn along the way. Know that with each step there is growth.

As you reflect back on this week ask yourself if you’re taking steps in the right direction? Are you developing the patience needed to continue down the path without knowing how long it will take you to get to your final destination? Have you developed the discipline to keep stepping forward each day?
