I can be impatient at times. Now while I’ve gained more patience over the years there are still times where I lack patience. It’s especially in those times when I have something I’m trying to achieve and I want it now. I fear that if I don’t achieve it soon the opportunity will disappear. Instead of trusting the process I want to hurry to the end.

In those moments I forget it’s not my plan but His. While I feel I’m ready for the opportunity He understands there’s a period of growth I still need to go through. No seed that’s planted automatically sprouts into the thing it’s destined to be. It has to go through a process to get to that point and that process takes time.

Can you relate to that? Are you patient enough? Are you willing to wait while you grow into the person you need to be? Don’t shortcut the process because you feel it’s taking too long. Embrace the period of growth you’re in knowing that the work being done in you will result in you becoming who you’re called to be.
