Have you ever had a problem or situation you’ve been trying to figure out for awhile and then one day the answer is right there in front of you? As a matter of fact, the answer has been there for some time but you overlooked it. That reality hit me this weekend.
I’ve been struggling lately with writing my 2nd book. The topic and content didn’t feel right and for months I’ve been searching for the answer. It was in the searching this weekend that I heard a voice say, “You already have the answer, remember the Men’s breakfast you spoke at? What you spoke on was not meant for just that event.” It was like a light bulb went off. Jen was next to me and I looked at her and had to smile as I told her what just happened. The answer I’d been searching for was right in front of me.
Often we get so caught up in the figuring out phase we forget to look for the answer in what we already have. This is a reminder for me to apply this in all areas of my life from home to work.
I encourage us all to do the same thing. Whatever you’re trying to figure out right now, stop for a minute and see if the answer is right there in front of you. It could save you valuable time and unnecessary searching for answers. Why make it harder than it needs to be!
