What is the first hurdle you must overcome? For many it’s the lack of faith and belief in yourself. Without jumping over this hurdle you never acquire the momentum needed to carry you over the other hurdles you will face. As a matter of fact, this hurdle can keep you from ever starting the race.

Each of us has unique gifts and talents we were blessed with. But in order to develop those gifts and talents you have to start using them. In order to start using them you have to believe you have them. You have to believe in yourself.

Too many people have been beaten down by life, other people or their circumstances to believe in themselves. They don’t see anything positive in their life nor have they heard anything positive about their life. This is why it’s so important for us to lift each other up every chance we get.

Your words and actions could be just what that person needs to help them over that first hurdle!
