Confidence is a feeling of self-assurance arising from one’s appreciation of one’s own abilities or qualities. It is an understanding and faith in the gifts you have within you. It creates a positive attitude within you and allows you to accomplish great things.

People are attracted to those who display confidence. Few people will follow a leader who does not display confidence. Think about it, if you don’t believe in yourself why would anyone want to follow you.

The confidence you display can empower those who follow you. Your confidence not only in your abilities but the abilities they have within them is a powerful tool.

Your kids feel bolder when they know their parents are confident in their abilities. Your team feels ready to tackle the obstacle in front of them when the leader displays confidence in them. Your spouse feels empowered to overcome the thing they are facing when they feel the confidence you have in them.

As leaders we have to display confidence and instill confidence. We first have to truly believe in the gifts we have within us and then the gifts of those we influence. Confidence enables us to do things we never thought possible!
