The quote in the image is from a bible study I’m reading by Dr. Dave Martin. The goal of the plan is teaching us how we can seize each day of our lives. You can’t have a great year, great month or great week without first seizing each day. And you can’t seize the day if you don’t take responsibility for it.

So many of us are afraid to take responsibility for the outcome of our day. I’ve been there, at the end of the day I’m telling Jen how this person or that situation ruined my day. I’ve put the responsibility for my day in the hands of everyone but me. It makes it easier to blame everyone but myself when I don’t seize the day.

It’s an easy trap to fall into but each of us has to realize the power we have over each day we are blessed with. Now that doesn’t mean you can control everyone and every situation you will encounter during the day. You can control your reaction to everyone and every situation you will encounter.

This is where your power lies. Start each day with a determination that you will make it a great day regardless of the situations and circumstances you might face. When difficulty comes you will look inward to the Spirit inside you for guidance and peace. You will be accountable for your actions and the end result of your day. Treat each day as the special gift it is and make it a great one!
