I absolutely love this verse and it’s message to me. This verse is one of the reasons I started following the path I’m currently on. It was a call to me to share Jesus’ love, mercy and grace with those who weren’t just like me. It gave me the faith to share His message, and it’s affect on my life, with people from all walks of life.

Too often we keep the story of what God has done in our lives within our own small circles. We keep the message within our church, our family or our circle of friends. We don’t venture out past the people we are comfortable dealing with. We hold back the message of Jesus’ positive impact on our lives for fear of being ridiculed, shunned or completely ignored.

There are people outside of your comfort zone who need to hear your story. Your story could give them the faith that things can and will get better. Your story could be the message they need to hear that brings them to Christ. Your story could keep them from destroying their lives.

A few years ago I received a message from someone who follows my postings letting me know they were thinking of taking their own life. But they read my posts and the stories of Jesus’ impact on my life and they realized the love He has for them. Today that person is thriving and embracing His love for them.

Don’t be afraid to share your story. You never know who you will impact. You never know who needs to hear your story.
