Have you ever purchased something that you have to put together and lost the instructions? I’ve had that happen before and it’s very difficult to put the product together. I usually fight through it and come out with a finished product. But how do I know if it’s put together correctly? Without the instructions I don’t know if I’ve left some pieces out or put them in the wrong place. I have a “finished” product but how much faith do I have in it?

This is how I look at my life, it’s the product in the box that I’m trying to put together. Without instructions I just put my life together haphazardly without any true direction. I feel like I’m doing a good job and I have a “finished” product but then the trials come. I’m faced with things that test the construction of my life and it crumbles. I realize then how valuable the instructions are.

It wasn’t until I started following the instructions God provided for me in His word that my life felt like a more finished product. My life felt more stable with the proper pieces in place. I felt more confident in my ability to withstand the tests that would come my way. I had instructions on how to live my life.

Take a look at your life today and see how you’ve put it together. Are you using instructions or just winging it? If your life feels not well put together, maybe today’s the day for you to pull out the instructions!
