Energize

It is inevitable that each of us will have moments along our journey where we grow tired and weary.
You are pursuing your goals, living out your purpose and you hit that wall.
When that happens it can make you feel like giving up and stopping right where you are.

I hit that wall so many times in the pursuit of writing my book.
Normally it was a gradual build up where I would start feeling myself slowing down.
Each day I would do a little less work on the book as the grind started getting to me.
Before I knew it, I had stopped completely and wasn’t doing any work on the book.

I’m sure each of you can relate to this type of thing happening in your own journeys.
It could be a journey to better health, a new career, improved relationships, etc.
No matter what the journey, those times of weariness will come, so how do you get past them?

For me, each time I hit that wall I had to do two things.
First, I dove deeper into God’s word to reflect on all the promises He has made to me.
Reflecting on how much He loves me and how much He wants to bless me gave me the energy to continue the journey.
Knowing that my Father was in my corner supporting me gave me the energy I needed to keep moving.
Second, I remembered my Why for pursuing the path I was on.
I had to remember why I was writing the book.
For me the goal was to reach people with my story to help bring positive change to their lives.
Knowing there were people out there who needed to hear my story gave me the energy I needed to keep moving.

We will all hit those points in our lives where we feel tired, weary and want to quit.
During those times I ask you to reflect on the love God has for you and the purpose for what you are doing.
Let these two things give you the energy needed to complete your race.
