First, my prayers go out to all of those impacted by Hurricane Harvey and now Hurricane Irma.

When you look at these storms their power, strength and size are incredible.
The destruction these storms can bring are life changing to the people impacted by them.
I have been through many hurricanes and typhoons so I understand first hand the devastation these storms can bring.

The fascinating thing to me about these powerful storms is in the midst of them is a place of total peace.
The eye of the storm is where the winds don’t whip, the waves don’t rage and the devastation doesn’t happen.
The eye of the storm brings complete calm while everything else around it is in chaos.
They eye of the storm is where you can rest from what’s raging around you.

In our own lives, we will each face storms of varying degrees.
It could be a financial storm, a relationship storm, a health storm, etc.
When these storms come and everything is in chaos around you, do you know where the eye of your storm is?
Do you have a place where you can go in the midst of the storm to find complete calm and peace?
A place where you can rest and get a true perspective on how to survive the storm?

I didn’t always have that place to go when the storms hit, so they seemed like they would never end.
My focus was just on the storm and the devastation it was bringing to my life, I couldn’t imagine there would be peace in the midst of it.
But that is exactly what I found when I truly started giving my life to Christ.
He became the eye in any storm I was going through, in Him I was able to find rest from the storms of life.’
In Him I found the answers to survive and even thrive in the storms.
