You may have noticed I haven’t been posting to my blog as frequently over the past few weeks.
There is a very good reason for that, I’ve been pouring my focus into completing my book.
It’s something I’ve mentioned many times on the blog and it’s been on my heart to write this book for almost 2 years.
Unfortunately I haven’t focused on it enough to make significant progress, that is until about a month ago.

While on Spring Break vacation, one of the things I realized is the only person keeping the book from being published is me.
I control my schedule, I control what I focus on, and I determine what gets my attention each day.
So if I truly want to finish this book then it is up to me to put in the necessary work.That is what I’ve done since that time and it’s paid such huge dividends.
I have all 12 Chapters finished and now I’m in the editing/review phase before I send it forward to a publisher.

Still being nervous about how my book would be received, I sent a draft of the 1st chapter out to several people for their feedback.
Their responses have been overwhelmingly positive and uplifting and they look forward to reading more.
That has been an added boost of motivation and inspiration for me to keep moving forward and get the book to print this summer.

This story I tell is not just to give an update on what I’m doing but to inspire you to finish the work.
Whatever it is that’s been on your heart to do, today is the day for you to take the steps to get it done.
Someone out there needs what you have to offer, they need to read your book, hear your voice, and see your talents.
That gift was given to you by God to be a blessing that you share with others to help inspire them.
No more procrastination, no more fear, no more doubt…….let’s finish the work!
