2 May 2017 – How Will You React?

How will you react when something you’ve worked for, prayed for and believed in doesn’t work out the way you planned?
When that thing you’ve wished for seemed right within your grasp but then it’s gone.
Will you still believe in the path God has for your life?

Your level of faith and the belief in your path will be on display during these times.
You will feel disappointment and that is natural and expected, especially if it is something you are passionate about.
The key is not lingering in that initial moment of disappointment to the point that you quit believing in your journey.
You can’t let this setback keep you from continuing the work to reach your goals.

I can guarantee you the disappointments will come, that’s life.
I’ve faced many of them and at times I’ve let the disappointments stop me in my tracks.
I didn’t realize that my reaction to the disappointment determined if it became the end of my story or just a redirection.

During those times that I gave up, I didn’t truly have faith in Who was in ultimate control.
When you understand Who is in control, you then know that what you feel is a disappointment doesn’t deter His plan for you.
That disappointment can be used to grow you in a way that better prepares you to achieve your goals.
This quote from a devotional I read this weekend says it all, “God is not finished with you yet and He works with His children until He wins!
Your disappointment does not have the power to dis-appoint you but may actually put you in a strategic position to be used by God.”

The only way you will know is to keep on fighting, to keep on working and to keep on believing!
What will your reaction be?
