As we get ready to hit the road and head back to Virginia I wanted to share a quick message. This is a message I’ve hit on many times before but it is such a powerful message that it needs to be talked about over and over. It’s also a very simple message that doesn’t take a college degree for you to understand. What is that message? Love!
Yes, the message today and every day is one single word. Love! It truly is the one word that can heal so many things. The divisiveness in our country can be healed by this one word. Love! The hatred seen throughout our world can be healed by this one word. Love! The broken relationships you are facing can be healed by this one word. Love! The issues you are having with a bad boss or coworker can be healed by this one word. Love! The self-doubt and bad self image you are dealing with can be healed by this one word. Love!
When you truly love yourself and others like Jesus calls us to do it can be truly life changing. It not only changes you from the inside but it changes the people you come into contact with. Your outpouring of love, even in the toughest situations, breaks through the barriers and brings down walls. Love is the light that cannot be put out by the darkness. The more darkness there is, the brighter it shines.
Today I want you to make the determination that your life is going to be one filled with love. When times get tough; you’re going to turn to love first. When that boss or coworker starts to irritate you; you’re going to turn to love first. When the political climate starts to get divisive; you’re going to turn to love first. When relationships get stressful; you’re going to turn to love first. When you start to doubt yourself; you’re going to turn to love first.
