1 Corinthians 16:-4 (NLT), “And do everything with love.”

Please forgive me for not posting these past two days. It was an action packed weekend of fellowship with our church group, youth sports, and a mini family reunion at my sister’s 50th birthday party. What an amazing, but tiring, weekend it was. Now I’m back and ready to write.

One thing I witnessed this weekend was a whole lot of love. From our church group, who we hadn’t met with in a few months, to family members at the party who we hadn’t seen in over 10 years, the love was there. It’s amazing how Christ’s love inside of us can express itself no matter how much time has passed.

There was a lesson in The Power Of Being Thankful devotional by Joyce Meyer titled, “Receiving God’s Love”. That lesson spoke on something I’ve also written about before, your ability to open up and accept God’s love. Then once you receive His love inside of you, sharing that love with those around you.

The problem is many of us fight with accepting God’s love. Because of past mistakes you can’t imagine God would love you that much. It’s a struggle because you don’t feel worthy of His love. But He does love you! Once you can understand that and fully receive God’s love, you begin to feel the power it has. Now you have to take that love placed inside of you and pour it into others as God calls you to do. You may ask how do I do that?

You display the love God has placed inside of you through your actions. You give of yourself to others with your time, talents and love. You open up yourself to fully show love to others without expecting anything in return. You just love others without hesitation or reservation. It’s truly that simple!

Receive the love God has for you and then release that love upon others!
