Intentional actions are needed to see change in our lives and there is a price to pay. There are sacrifices you’ll have to make or new territory you’ll have to venture into. It’s at this point many will say, “I didn’t realize there was a cost to being intentional about change?” This is where the ‘rubber meets the road’! Are you willing to pay the price?
The cost is personal to each individual because of the unique value they place on whatever they have to give up. You give it value and only you can decide if you’ll pay the price. The key question is, do you value that specific thing more than the change you want to make in your life?
The answer to this question let’s you know if you’re truly ready for change. If you value the thing more than the change then you aren’t ready. Yes, you may be unhappy with your situation and you may feel you need to change but the reality is you aren’t ready to change. Only when the change has more value than the things you have to give up will you take action.
Maybe it’s time for you to assess the value you’ve placed on the change you want to make in your life. Do you want it so much that you’re willing to pay the cost of giving up some things to get it?
