Jesus shared in this verse that He is the light of the world that darkness cannot hide. I personally realized the power of His light when He saved me from the dark path I was walking. His light renewed me and showed me the right path to follow. But how did I find His light when I was stuck on that dark path ignoring His call to me?

I saw His light shining in people around me, and I was attracted to it. Even though I was ignoring His call, I couldn’t ignore His light shining from those in my life who had accepted His call. I saw His light and love in the way they lived their lives. I saw His grace and compassion in their actions. They were my guides to His light!

This is why I’ve written so often about letting your light shine. There are people out there who need to see Jesus’ light reflected in you. They need to see an example of His love in someone they know. They need a guide to get them out of the darkness.

If you have His light within you, please let it shine in your actions today. Show His love, compassion, grace and mercy in all your actions. Be the guide someone needs to come out of the darkness and into Jesus’ light!
