I love the perseverance that is shown in this verse.
It tells us to keep on doing these things and what we seek we will find.
Prayers will be answered, what you are looking for you will find and doors will be opened for you.
That is if you don’t give up!

As I read this passage I reflected back on times in my life when I didn’t keep on going.
I can tell you there are many of them.
Times when I stopped asking, I stopped seeking and I stopped knocking on that door.
And as I looked back on those times I realized the only thing that stopped me was me!

When the answer didn’t come as quickly as I wanted it to come, I stopped asking.
When the path that I was searching for didn’t appear soon enough, I stopped looking.
When the door I was knocking on didn’t open in a timely manner, I stopped knocking.
I didn’t realize it then but I had all the control.
The person or thing I thought was holding me back at the time didn’t have the control.
The circumstance or situation didn’t have the control.
The obstacle or barrier didn’t have the control.
It was always up to me whether I kept going or gave up.
Reflect on this verse today and realize the power and control you have.
Make a determination today that if God has placed it on your heart to do that you won’t stop asking, you won’t stop seeking and you won’t stop knocking!
