Good day all! Today we dive into the Attitude chapter of Doug Dickerson’s book, Leaders Without Borders. I know that my attitude as a leader impacts the entire team.
In developing leadership around us, attitude is one of those make-or-break characteristics that you must work to your advantage.
Having the right attitude can level the playing field for you not just on a personal level but professionally as well.
Leadership expert John Maxwell said, “A leader’s attitude is caught by his followers more quickly than his or her actions.”
While we can’t always control what happens to us, we are in control of our attitude.
The choice we make determines our future.
We level the playing field when we refuse to allow circumstances to defeat us.
When we face the challenges of uncertain times with the right attitude, we level the playing field.
You level the playing field with wise choices and right attitudes.
We level the playing field by setting the right example.
As a leader your attitude should be the thermostat your team is set at.
Simply put, your action as a leader multiplies the reaction of the team.
We level the playing field with high expectations.
High expectations create an environment that is ripe for success.
Attitude is the lens through which you look at your world.
It’s how you look ar yourself as a leader, how you see others, and how your team embraces its mission and purpose.
Don’t let the circumstances that life brings your way restrain you.
Embrace them and be emboldened by them.
Yes, you will face struggles and disappointments, but the choice you make with regard to your attitude will make all the difference.
