If you’ve been following my posts for some time, you know I’m a huge John Maxwell fan.
I consider him to be at the top of the list when it comes to leadership development.
The quote in the picture is one that impacted me years ago and has shaped how I approach each day.
Below are the 5 things that John Maxwell focuses on each day in his pursuit of growth.

1. I Make Growth My Number One Priority.
   A day without growth is not acceptable to me. I am conscious of my need to learn 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
2. I Look For Growth Opportunities In Every Situation.
   I know opportunities are there so I actively look for them. I ask myself, “Do I see an opportunity? And have I taken advantage of it?”
3. I Ask Questions That Will Help Me Grow.
   Growth doesn’t come looking for me. I must proactively find it. I seek growth by continually asking questions.
4. I File What I Learn Every Day.
   The number 1 time waster is looking for things that are lost. I file ideas, quotes, and stories so I can find them quickly.
5. I Pass On To Others What I’m Learning.
   I’m always thinking about sharing what I discover because it reinforces learning. It also adds value to the people to whom I pass it along.
