Each day brings a new awareness of the difficulty we’re all facing with COVID-19. The spread of the virus has caused schools and businesses to close. It has drastically changed the normal pace of our lives. It is a stark new reality for us all.
This drastic new reality will bring anxiety, fear and worry. There will be concern over loss of income, food shortages, and contracting the illness. The uncertainty of how long it will take to return to some type of normalcy will have us on edge. These are the facts of our current situation but that doesn’t mean all is lost.
Now that we know the facts let’s face them and develop a plan to move forward.
First, develop a new normalcy for your family. You can’t focus on how things were a month ago. You have to make sense of what’s happening today. Determine what normal now looks like for your family and live in it.
Second, find out how you can help those in need. One of the easiest ways to do that is to stop hoarding everything for yourself and leave supplies for others. There will be enough for us all if we learn to think WE instead of ME.
Third, continue to have the faith that we will get through this. Faith is a powerful thing and now is the time for you to lean into your faith. You have to understand the God who was with you in the good times is still with you now.
I have faith we’ll get through this time but how we get through it is up to us.
Evolution of Self!
