What if you could skip over the messy parts of your life story and go directly to the part where you’re living your life’s purpose, would you do it? I believe most of us would jump at that chance, especially if it meant avoiding the pain and discomfort that comes with the messy seasons of our lives.

The truth is you can’t get to that glorious end without the refining process. The refining process is messy but so valuable. It’s in those messy seasons that you’re molded and shaped into who you need to be. It’s in those messy seasons where the faith and strength you need to get to the end is sharpened. It’s in those messy seasons that you start to get an image of who you truly can become.

To grow into who you’re called to be you have to go through the refining process. How successful the refining process will he is determined by your attitude as you’re going through it. Will you fight it every step of the way, or allow it to strip off the things holding you back? Life will refine you, the question is what will you be on the other end of the process?
