Leadership is all about serving others!

Servant leaders understand that it’s not about them it’s about the people following them. Whether you’re leading your family, your business, your church, your sports team, etc. this principle still applies. A servant leader asks, what can I do today to enhance someone else’s life in a positive way?

Servant leaders are also confident in what they know but have the humility to understand they don’t know everything and can always learn. Those following you must trust that you know what you’re doing as you lead them, this is your credibility. They must also see that you aren’t too proud to ask for help when needed because you understand that you don’t know everything, this is your humility.

Let’s focus today on being true servant leaders by shifting the focus from us to those we are leading. My prayer is that we always remember it’s not about what we can get for ourselves but what we can give to others. If you have the credibility, humility and heart for service God truly can use you as a leader in any capacity to positively change lives. Embrace that opportunity!
