Each of us has areas in our lives we would like to change or improve. It could be in our family life, careers, spiritual walk, health, finances, etc. It would be a shame to have opportunity come knocking on our door in these areas and to not be ready.

This is why continual growth is so important. It’s the discipline in the process of growth that prepares us to confidently embrace the opportunities that present themselves.

When we don’t take the time to grow two things will happen when opportunity comes. One, the opportunity will pass us by because we aren’t ready. Two, we will accept the opportunity but struggle because we didn’t prepare ourselves. I’ve personally experienced both of these situations in my lifetime.

While you can’t forecast what the future will bring you can plan how you will approach each day. Focus on growing daily so when opportunity comes knocking you’re opening the door with a smile on your face and arms wide open to receive it.
