You are not alone! Did you know that?
Every part of your life, the journey you are on, the path you are walking is not in isolation.
But far too often we decide to try and do it alone, thinking we don’t need anyone else or any help.
We ignore the people who have been placed in our lives to provide advice, instruction and guidance.
Too many times this leads to us struggling, running into obstacles and never achieving our goals.

I can reflect back on far too many times I tried to do it alone feeling I had all the answers.
I had the education, I was smart, I was determined, I had everything I needed right?
Well that’s what I thought and so when things didn’t go as planned I was crushed.
How could it go wrong? How could I not be successful? How could I not achieve my goal?

The reason is my pride got in the way and kept me from receiving help from people placed in my path to give that help.
I became too reliant on what I thought I knew and the talents I had, not realizing there were people placed in my life to help maximize those things.
There were people placed in my life who had walked the path I was going down and knew the obstacles and the roadblocks I would face.
They were ready to share these things with me and to help me on my journey, but my eyes and ears were closed to them.
How many of you can relate to this?

You and I were not made to do this thing called life alone.
God uses other people to help guide our way and keep us from making too many mistakes.
But you are the key, it is your choice whether you are open to receiving their guidance and instruction.
It is your choice whether or not your journey through life is walked alone.
Think about that today and allow yourself to receive help from those God has placed in your life to give you help.
