These are words I never get tired of saying, a subject I never get tired of talking about.
The reason is that I believe it’s the thing missing from our daily interactions with each other.
It’s the missing ingredient to heal so much of what’s wrong in our world today.
So why is it missing?
One reason is when we love, many times we expect something back in return.
Truly loving each other does not mean I’m going to love you only if you love me back.
It does not mean I’m going to love you only if you are nice to me.
It does not mean I’m going to love you only if you are the same race, gender, ethnicity as I am.
No truly loving someone means you love them in spite of the differences, in spite of not getting love in return, in spite of everything.
You do this because of the love you have flowing through your heart.
That love is there because you know how much your Father loves you.
To me that is the key, you have to first feel true love, in order to show true love.
You have to know in your heart there is someone who loves you in spite of your mistakes, in spite of how different you are and in spite of how many times you don’t show Him love in return.
When you feel that kind of true love poured down on you, it’s easy for you to pour true love out to others.
You know what true love feels like!
It starts with each one of us understanding, knowing and feeling how much God loves us.
That has to get down into your heart, mind and spirit.
Once you truly feel His love then you will feel a change come over you, a change that allows you to truly love others.
At that point you will see your daily interactions with others change, you will give more love and you will show more love.
It’s truly within your control to help change our world!
