I am currently in the middle of a bible study plan called Undecided by YouVersion. It is a great plan and yesterday’s message titled, “Work In Progress”, was so powerful.

The main theme of the devotional spoke to how Jesus is pursuing us and has been writing our story of salvation. There is a story for each of you and a part of that story is a choice. That choice is whether or not you accept God’s forgiveness and become a follower of Christ.

This is one of the most important choices you will ever make because it dictates what version of your story you live. The unfortunate reality is many will never live the truly blessed life God has for them because of a failure to make this choice. A choice that God gives us complete freedom to make.

The beautiful thing is even if you haven’t yet made that choice to embrace God’s love and mercy, it never goes away. It’s not a one shot deal you only have once chance at. No, because each of us is a work in progress and God loves us, He never leaves us. Even when you’ve turned your back on Hm, He never turns His back on you.

You are never too far away from God’s love, no matter how many mistakes you’ve made. You are always just one step away from receiving God’s love and mercy. You are always one step away from rewriting the story of your life. Remember, you are a work in progress!
