I remember when I was much younger I had a view of God as someone who I could not truly have a relationship with because I wasn’t clean enough. I felt it was like in the Old Testament where only select people could be in the presence of God. There was no way God would allow me to be in His presence without my life being in order. The problem with my view of God was I could never get clean enough to approach Him. So I would stay away from a true relationship with God, thinking that once I got my act together then I would be clean enough to come to Him.

How many of you are feeling that way right now? Feeling like your life is in too many pieces and you feel too dirty to enter a relationship with God. Unfortunately, too many feel this way and it keeps you from coming to God and feeling His love, mercy and grace. The irony is, being in a relationship with God is exactly where you need to be so you can be made clean. But because you don’t feel worthy enough, you stay away and stay in pain and isolation from Him.

The beautiful thing my friends is because of Jesus’ sacrifice for us we are never too dirty to enter into a relationship with God. No matter what you’ve done in your life, or what you’re going through, God’s loving arms are waiting for you.

Don’t waste another minute trying to clean up your act before coming into a relationship with God. He wants you to come as you are, no matter how dirty, so He can make you clean!
