Hebrews 4:16 (NLT), “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”

As I’ve talked about before, life unfortunately will bring you moments of pain and despair. It could be something like the pain of health issues or the pain of losing a loved one. Either one of these events can take all the wind out of your sails.

Once you get through that initial storm, the recovery process starts. This is a tough process with many ups and downs as you go through many different emotions. You may feel angry with God and feel like He’s forgotten you. I went through this with the health issues from my back.

I went through ups and downs emotionally, physically and spiritually. I asked many questions during this time. Are you there God? Will I ever feel better? Are you listening God? The answer to all my questions was YES! Yes, God was still there. Yes, I would feel better. Yes, God was listening!Even though I couldn’t feel it at the time, He never left me.

Through your recovery process God wants you to lean on Him. His love, grace and mercy will stabilize you through the ups and downs you will face. He will put the wind back in your sails so you continue your journey to the blessed life He has for you.
