Psalms 18:32 (NLT), “God arms me with strength, and he makes my way perfect.”
A few days ago a friend and I were talking about my postings and my mission to reach and help people and he made a very good point. Many of the people reading my blogs and postings don’t know my story. While social media is great, it can lead people to view you as someone not dealing with the same problems and struggles they have. Well let me say, I definitely don’t live in a glass house where everything is perfect by any means.
I’ve mentioned before in some of my blogs how I have had struggles in life, and still have struggles. I’ve gone through divorce, I’ve struggled with raising kids, Jen and I don’t always agree, and I haven’t made the right decisions at times in my life. My actions have hurt others and I haven’t always treated people with the respect they deserve. When I’m up early in the morning working out and posting, it’s more for me than it is for you. I know I need to start my day that way for both my physical and spiritual health. If I don’t feed myself constantly life gets tougher.
The daily struggle is real for all of us my friends. No one person out there has all the answers and is living the perfect life, don’t let social media trick you into believing that. What I do know is the love and grace of Jesus helps carry me through. He has the answers and without Him I know I will fail. So my job each day is to listen to him, follow what He is telling me, and share that with others so they too can overcome!
