Jeremiah 17:14 (NLT), “O Lord, if you heal me, I will be truly healed, if you save me, I will be truly saved. My praises are for you alone!”
The last blog I wrote, Don’t Fear Failure, talked about not fearing failures or setbacks in your life. These things will come but God gives you the tools and the strength to get through them. One of the most powerful tools He gives you is your faith. Your faith and belief in Him allows you to move forward in the tough times. Your faith and belief in Him allows the healing to begin.
Healing is the answer to not letting those tough times in your life be the end of the story. Healing allows you to move forward, a stronger version of yourself. The healing process is necessary. Whether it’s the loss of a loved one, a failed marriage or the loss of a job you have to heal from it. During this time is when you truly lean on the grace, mercy and love of Jesus.
When that healing time comes, embrace it and know God is with you each step of the way. Psalms 147:3 (NLT) says, “He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.” In order for God to bring this type of healing to you, you have to bring your wounds to Him. Instead of holding onto the pain, release that pain to God so the healing can begin. So many of us try to internalize our pain and hold onto it like a badge of courage. Can I tell you that’s not what God wants for you. He wants you to move on from that pain and that can’t happen if you won’t let it go so the healing can begin.
Sometimes we hold onto that pain because of pride, shame or lack of faith that God will provide. I’ve done it before. I’ve been hurt, ashamed and scared to bring my pain to God for healing. I tried to cover it up within myself, I tried to bury it thinking that would bring healing. It wasn’t until I decided to have true faith in God and lay it at his feet that the healing began. That is when I started to see a big change in my life that only the healing hand of God could provide.
It’s time my friends! You have to make a decision to bring the pain you are dealing with to God. The burdens you are dealing with you don’t have to face alone, God is waiting to provide healing. His healing power can change your situation and change you. You have to tell yourself, this is your time to heal. No more holding onto the pain because you are afraid or ashamed. God loves you, He knows what you’re dealing with and He is waiting for you to bring those things to Him.
It’s time to heal!
