2 Corinthians 9:8 (NLT), “And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.”
Have you ever reached that point in your life where you felt backed into a corner. The situation you are in has you to the point where you don’t see how it can ever work itself out. You have lost hope and see no way out of the situation. Can I tell you that God will always provide a way. God has promised to provide all you need and he doesn’t go back on His promises.
In order for you to see God do a work in your situation, whatever it may be, you have to first believe. Your faith must be strong, knowing in your heart God will provide. When your faith is strong it allows you to take the focus off your situation and onto someone else. You can now pour into others and help them through their difficulties because you know your situation will resolve itself.
The verse from 2 Corinthians above says God will give generously to us providing for your needs so you can then freely give to others. The part that’s missing is what the preceding verse says in 2 Corinthians 9:7 (NLT), “You must each decide in your hearts how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” So before God brought the generous blessing you had to give from your heart.
This section of verses focused on Christian giving or tithing but I think it focuses on more than giving money. For you to see God do a work in that impossible situation, you must first put your focus on helping others while trusting God to provide. You do this by giving freely of your time, talents, etc. to lift someone else up. When you are focused on giving to someone else during your situation you are no longer as focused on your problem and God can go to work.
Don’t get so caught up in trying to fix your situation that you stop God from working in it. Give of yourself to others to shift your focus during those tough times. Watch how God will use your situation to help others and lift you up.
