During the past week I’ve been knocked down by the flu bug that is affecting so many people.
One of the benefits of being quarantined in my house is the time allowed for reflection and observation.
These past few days have revealed so much to me and there is so much I need to change within myself.
I know I need to be a better husband, a better father, a better steward of what God has blessed me with, a better worker and a better deliverer of the message of love, grace and kindness God has for all of us.
I have to continually work at being the best version of me that I can be, the version of me I know Christ is calling me to be.
When I look at our world it saddens me.
We are so divided among every type of line you can imagine.
Democrat vs. Republican, Black vs. White, Christian vs. Non-Christian, Male vs. Female, American vs. Non-American, Liberal vs. Conservative, the list goes on and on.
We no longer know who we are as individuals because we’ve allowed ourselves to become defined by “the group”.
So I ask you these questions, “Who are you?”, “Why were you put on this earth?”, and “What is your purpose?”
I think each of us needs to step back from the “group think” and find out who we truly are.
The most important thing is you, not your labels, affiliations, or the side you choose.
It’s time for each of us to evolve as individuals into who we are truly made to be.
It’s time for each of us to evolve ourselves to the point where we no longer give in to hate and division, but we show love, grace and kindness.
It truly starts with each one of us improving who we are as individuals.
When you can identify who you truly are and why you are here, you can start to live out your purpose.
Once you start living out your purpose then you start to feel better about yourself.
When you truly love yourself then you don’t see others as a threat to you, they become a part of your story.
Then together we all make this world a better place, showing love, grace and kindness to all we come in contact with.
Doing my part to make this a reality is my mission, it’s my purpose!
My Evolution of Self starts today with me acknowledging I need to do better and taking action.
When does your Evolution of Self start?
Why don’t you join me today!
